Too many Christians today walk around buffeted by uncontrollable impulses, drowning in guilt and totally defeated. They pray, commit, surrender, read the Word, say all the right words, and still can't seem to live a victorious life. If that sounds familiar, then you might find some answers here.

Demons in Children

Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Mat 17:15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water.

Mar 9:17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;

Luk 9:42 And as he was yet a coming, the devil threw him down, and tore him. And Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, and healed the child, and delivered him again to his father.

"Vexed" is a word in the bible that is almost used exclusively to signify demonic activity. It doesn't imply "possession", but it does indicate a real, often physical manifestation of something outside of a person's control.

In each of these cases a child was vexed or bothered by a demonic or unclean spirit. In one case it was a "dumb" spirit meaning that the child could not speak. All four children were brought to the Lord by a parent. It is a parent's duty to recognize possible vexation and to seek deliverance for their child.
