Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
"Withstand" - there's something aggressive about that, it implies a determination to win, a righteous anger against the Enemy
Eph 6:14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
("loins" = hip, pro-creative power - Men and women both are vulnerable in this area - it's TRUTH that will protect from getting "kneed" which can take the breath away. "breastplate" = chest which signifies both the physical heart, the emotional heart and the nurturing aspect of human anatomy - the giving, nurturing can be stifled if under attack)
Eph 6:15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
("feet" - that which makes you active, that enables you to "stand", implies protection for anywhere your feet take you, movement - "peace" is also rest, quietness - there is a time in "standing" that you are "at ease"... however, at a moment's notice you can snap to attention on high alert)
How many of us would never consider stepping outside of our house naked? Not many. However, how many of us walk out of our house and into the middle of a battle without making sure that we are spiritually dressed? And then we complain if we get hurt and beat down?
Well, duuuuh! Get dressed. Put on the armor. How? Get into the Word, the Truth, the Gospel... get dressed!
